For the Ascension Day holiday, we had the pleasure of accompanying a group of 110 people, members of a Savoyard Works Council (CSE), for a four-day stay in Venice. A long-awaited Italian getaway in the heart of one of Europe's most fascinating cities.

The program, combining cultural discoveries with moments of freedom, was a winning balance: a guided tour of the Serenissima, a Venetian mask-making workshop, an excursion to the iconic islands of Murano and Burano, not to mention free time that allowed everyone to soak up the unique atmosphere of the place.

  • Venice Rialto Bridge
  • Venice - Burano

Highlights of the trip

Stop in Bergamo, a Lombard pearl along the way

Before arriving in Venice, the group stopped in Bergamo to discover the Città Alta, perched on the hills and accessible by funicular. A stroll through the cobbled streets lined with palaces, panoramic views of the Lombardy plain from the Venetian walls, lively little squares... A charming atmosphere, punctuated by a warm lunch in a local trattoria.

Guided tour of the Serenissima

Accompanied by a passionate English-speaking guide, the participants strolled through the narrow streets and canals of Venice, between St. Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge, and the more secretive neighborhoods. The city's thousand-year-old history, its unique architecture, and the delightful anecdotes of Venetian daily life gave this guided tour a wonderfully human and cultural dimension.

Murano and its Glass Blowing

In a traditional glass blowing tunnel, participants witnessed a live demonstration of the work of master glassmakers. In just a few minutes, vases, horses, and other art objects took shape before their eyes, revealing the mastery and precision of ancestral know-how.

The discovery continued in a veritable glass art gallery, where contemporary works, decorative objects, and unique pieces coexist. A wonderful glimpse of Venetian artisanal elegance.

A Colorful Getaway to Burano

The most colorful island in the lagoon, Burano captivated visitors with its vibrant houses, peaceful streets, and fishing village atmosphere. This little gem of the lagoon is also renowned for its ancestral lacemaking skills, passed down from generation to generation.

A journey combining authenticity, local craftsmanship, and picture-postcard scenery.
